About me

Hi 👋I’m Kate, a digital designer with 14 years industry experience in user interface design.

I have a big love for all things design having studied printed textiles at university and worked as a jewellery designer.

I’m glad to have had some varied digital roles from working as a UI UX designer for a holiday company to a Senior User experience designer for Sainsbury’s and now a UX Designer for the Natural History Museum getting to design for their Online Shop and Ticket flow.

My main design concerns are building great user experiences, accomplishing communication objectives and addressing aesthetics with an attention to detail. I am always looking for new solutions in order to improve the customer’s journey and add value to features.

Taking the untraditional path has meant I have learnt so much and I am keen for the next challenge.

I love gardening and walking round London, exploring new areas. I enjoy cold water swimming, Hampstead Heath Ladies pond is one of my favourite places to visit. I am also a keen traveller, exploring new places and cultures.

I love to frequent charity shops always searching for a new treasure. My favourite weekend activities are visiting a museum or taking a day trip to the seaside.

“Kate's growth as a designer has been a pleasure to watch. Aside from her obvious creative and artistic talent, she has a clear grasp of user requirements, and pays great attention to the feedback she receives from users in developing and designing the systems she works on. She is multi-dimensional in her ability to turn non-technical requests from clients into technical designs for developers, bridging the gap between the two nicely. She has displayed a great deal of aptitude in both creating new things from scratch or taking existing features and reworking them to improve the UX and UI. Kate is a pleasure to work with and I can't recommend her highly enough.”
